Overview

At the Charter Trust, we work together for the benefit of all children in our schools, especially those facing disadvantage. Impact Leaders play a key role in this work, leading subject networks, sharing best practice and supporting colleagues within, and sometimes beyond, our family of schools.

We are seeking to recruit Impact Leaders to join our team, we are particularly keen to recruit leaders from under-represented groups, particularly those from global majority backgrounds.

Impact Leaders  (IL) are excellent practitioners who not only demonstrate expertise in their field but also lead others to improve their practice, resulting in a positive impact on student learning. An Impact Leader is not a post; it is a professional development opportunity for those seeking to extend their impact, who:

  • Are effective and credible permanent members of staff with the ideas and energy to support others in improving their work to support learning.
  • Are willing to and capable of completing the IL programme..
  • Are committed to improving outcomes for disadvantaged pupils.

You Will Learn

To take part in the Impact Leader programme, you will need to plan, deliver and evaluate an evidence-informed project to improve outcomes for a group of disadvantaged pupils.

The launch event will explain more about the process and four further professional learning sessions will support you to:

  • Understand the evidence around disadvantage and identify the specific and actionable barriers to achievement for the group.
  • Plan an evidence-informed strategy to address these, underpinned by rigorous use of evidence and the principles of good implementation.
  • Monitor and evaluate your approach.
  • Support others with their practice through the planning and delivery of effective professional development.
