Overview

At the Charter Trust, we believe in working together to make a real difference for every child in our schools—especially those who face disadvantage. Our Impact Leaders are at the heart of this mission.

Impact Leaders (ILs) are passionate, skilled educators who not only excel in their own practice but also inspire and support others to grow—ultimately improving outcomes for students. This isn’t a formal post, but a fantastic professional development opportunity for those who want to broaden their influence and impact.

We’re looking for people who:

  • Are respected, permanent members of staff with the drive and creativity to help others improve.
  • Are ready and able to take part in the IL programme.
  • Are deeply committed to making a difference for disadvantaged pupils.

We are especially keen to hear from individuals from under-represented groups, including those from global majority backgrounds.

If this sounds like you—or someone you know—we’d love to hear from you!

You Will Learn

To take part in the Impact Leader programme, you will need to plan, deliver and evaluate an evidence-informed project to improve outcomes for a group of disadvantaged pupils.

The launch event will explain more about the process and four further professional learning sessions will support you to:

  • Understand the evidence around disadvantage and identify the specific and actionable barriers to achievement for the group.
  • Plan an evidence-informed strategy to address these, underpinned by rigorous use of evidence and the principles of good implementation.
  • Monitor and evaluate your approach.
  • Support others with their practice through the planning and delivery of effective professional development.
