What is it?

Early Emotions is an EYFS and preschool programme that helps children recognise and regulate their emotions.

Funded by the Education Endowment Foundation and led by London South Research School, the programme is currently in trial stage with 30 participant schools, nurseries and childminder settings across the South East.

The programme offers:

  • A systematic approach to teaching emotional literacy and regulation
  • Scripted lessons and visual resources for use in continuous provision
  • Easy to embed min-lessons for preschool and EYFS providers
