I am an Assistant Headteacher responsible for staff training and development at Charles Dickens Primary School. I have experience in strategically mapping and delivering evidence-informed professional development. I am a trained instructional coach and I collaborate with teachers to bridge the gap between theory and practice through explicit instruction, live-modelling and team teaching. As a class-based senior leader, I am constantly reviewing my own practice in line with current educational theory and learning from my colleagues in school and beyond. I have planned and co-created units of work for my school's history curriculum and I have a wealth of experience when supporting teachers to scaffold and assess written outcomes in history. I have undertaken my own action research and published research on how to make playgrounds more inclusive spaces.
