I have been a substantive headteacher since 2009, leading my current school to become a first-choice option for local families. My leadership has contributed to achievements such as winning the Best Breakfast Club award in London and securing an outstanding Ofsted judgement for behaviour and attitudes.
I am a keynote speaker, mentor, and advocate for education and leadership, particularly for BAME educators. My work includes mentoring for the NPQLBC, speaking at education conferences (e.g., Waltham Forest, Westminster Food & Nutrition Forum, World Public Health Nutrition Congress), and advocating for free breakfast clubs as a government priority. I also support BAME educators into leadership through mentoring and coaching, serve as a BAME Ofsted shadow inspector, and am a Lead Ambassador for the Children’s Literacy Charity.
In recognition of my contributions to education, I was honoured with the National Headteacher of the Year award at the 2021 Pearson’s Education Awards, celebrating my journey from a meal supervisor to a global leader in education over 27 years.
