Nicola McGarrell is the Hub Lead of the London South Early Years Stronger Practice Hub, based at Charles Dickens Primary School and Nursery. With over two decades of experience in early years education, Nicola previously served as an EYFS Manager at a Lambeth Primary School for 10 years.

Her expertise extends beyond the classroom—she has worked with the Local Authority on EYFSP moderation and supported settings outside London as a Specialist Leader of Education (SLE). Now, through her leadership of the DfE-funded Stronger Practice Hub, Nicola provides tailored support to early years settings, guiding practitioners toward evidence-informed approaches and fostering strong partnerships with Local Authorities.
