The Wandle English Hub at Chesterton Primary School is proud to be one of the government’s English Hubs, charged with supporting local schools so that they can achieve excellence in early literacy teaching. This support involves a focus on:

• Promoting a love of reading
• Developing early language and closing the word gap
• Developing early reading through systematic, synthetic phonics
