Improving Literacy at KS2 to KS3 Transition

The programme brings together English leads across Primary and Secondary to build greater knowledge and understanding of the challenges around transition and evidence-informed approaches to improve outcomes for pupils.

This 2-and-a-bit-day equivalent (4 half days plus an introductory twilight briefing) programme explores the evidence behind different aspects of learning behaviours and supports SENDCOs and School Leaders to plan for successful implementation. The evidence supporting the programme is drawn from two EEF Guidance reports: Improving Literacy at Key Stage 2 and Improving Secondary Literacy.
